Züllig D.O. Probe S14-S (Smart-Sensor)
Züllig's S14-S D.O. probe is rugged and self-cleaning. The open electrode design has no fragile membranes to rupture or electrolyte to replace. This patented dissolved oxygen sensor is designed for durability, providing precise D.O. measurement in some of the harshest wastewater applications. The S14 - S is temperature compensated, and is available in a wide variety of mounting styles, including submersion-style, shaft with hood, and tri-clamp. Included in Züllig's family of Smart Sensors, the S14-S- is hot-swappable, and can be used with either Züllig's s-line or b-line multi transmitter.
The measurement is carried out following a chemical principle applied by Toedt. The depolarization current of the galvanical element results from the following reaction:

O2+4e–+2H2O = 4 OH–
